The restaurant in a department store located in the centre of Tallinn, Estonia is swarming with people at lunch time. The restaurant’s Head Chef, Helge Viilo, has already been at work for several hours. With good reason too, since she is also responsible for the food in Fazer's other two restaurants in the department store. One of them is a modern Internet café, the other is a personnel restaurant.
Helge is responsible for planning the menu in all three restaurants. Being able to keep up with the times is important because food trends change quickly.
Helge quite obviously enjoys her job. ‘I can offer the visitors food that I myself would like to eat.’ That has not gone unnoticed. ‘We have the best pancakes in the city,’ she proudly claims to have heard.
Helge feels that a permanent job in a large, reliable company gives her a sense of security, which she values. She values her colleagues, too.
‘If employees come to work in a happy mood and are happy to do their job, then I am also happy,’ Helge says, revealing the secret to a good mood for work.
