Fazer Confectionery and the Swedish Cloetta AB merge and establish Cloetta Fazer AB. Acquisition of the majority in the bakery Hlebny Dom in St. Petersburg.
2001
Amica acquires the majority in the Danish Wip Personalerestauranter A/S and starts its operations in Latvia. Fazer Bakeries starts its operations in Latvia and Lithuania.
2002
Fazer Bakeries acquires the Swedish bakery Lövångerbröd AB. The remaining holding in Fazer Biscuits is sold to the French Danone Group. Amica starts its operations in Norway.
2003
Amica acquires the majority in the Norwegian catering company Adviso Meny AS. A new bakery starts its operations in Lappeenranta, Finland.
2004
Fazer built up a new operations model and renewed its brand strategy.
2005
Fazer acquired the Zvezdny bakery in Moscow.
2006
Fazer acquired the St. Petersburg -based Abela Services CIS, SIA NokrokoA in Latvia and KantineRingen As in Norway.
2007
The bakery business in Russia was separated to form its own division Fazer Russia. Fazer Amica opened a new service kitchen, the first of its kind, in Tallinn.
2008
Cloetta Fazer AB (publ) was split up and Fazer Group’s fourth division Fazer Confectionery was created.
In 2008 Fazer acquired the chewing gum company Fennobon.
2009
Fazer acquired Lantmännen Färskbröd in Sweden.
