The company’s founder Karl Fazer’s son Sven Fazer had an English business associate, Mr Shaller, whose son-in-law had an eye disease. With the help of his connections, Sven Fazer arranged for the son-in-law to see a doctor who cured him. Grateful for this service, Mr Shaller gave Sven Fazer a Swiss recipe for milk chocolate. Even today, the recipe of Karl Fazer Milk Chocolate is based on that very same recipe.
