Ingredients (serves 14-16)

0.5 bag (110g) of Fazer Dumle sweets

200g butter

4 eggs

175g sugar

200g flour

2 tbsp cocoa powder

2 tsp baking powder

300/400ml milk

For greasing the tin

For the tin

50g butter

0.5 bag (110g) of Fazer Dumle sweets

175g mixed nuts, e.g. macadamia, walnuts

1. Grease the sides of a 2-litre cake tin (not springform) with butter and cover with breadcrumbs. Melt the butter in a pan. Add the Dumle sweets and stir as you heat the mixture until the sweets have melted. Leave to cool.

2. Whip the eggs and sugar together until firm. Sieve the cocoa powder into the flour and mix the dry ingredients. Add the flour into the mixture, alternating with the cool Dumle and butter mixture and milk.

3. Dice the butter onto the bottom of the tin and cut the Dumle sweets into small pieces. Add the sweets and the ground nuts into the tin. Spoon the mixture into the tin on top of the sweets and nuts.

4. Bake for about an hour at 175°C. Check with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the cake is done. Leave the cake to stand in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a plate.
